Experienced Officers 

If you have previous Canadian policing experience, you may qualify as an Experienced Officer.

New Recruit Requirements 

  • Meet the minimum hiring standards.*
    • Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
    • Be at least 18 yrs of age.
    • Successfully completed High School Diploma or equivalent. 
    • Possess a valid full G Ontario Driver’s License or Provincial Equivalent.
    • Be of good moral character.
  • Valid PREP certification (physical readiness evaluation for police) required at application. *
  • Adhere to the minimum standard of hearing and vision requirements.
  • Be able to pass a security clearance as well as a background investigation, credit and reference check.. 
  • Complete Standard First Aid and CPR-C prior to hire.

Please note the selection process is highly competitive.  Successfully completing one stage does not guarantee proceeding to the next stage.
