JOB SUMMARY
You are responsible for planning, coordinating and the overall project management of a temporary, large-scale, high profile operational project. The Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Renewal SAP S/4HANA Modernization initiative. You ensure alignment between business and technical goals through the implementation of SAP S/4HANA and are instrumental in driving the project success.
You provide project management business and technical expertise and lead a team of project resources to define, plan and deliver SAP S/4HANA across the City. You are responsible for coordinating with other managers, project leadership and team members to manage dependencies, timelines, risks, budget and integration points across the project.
You also provide consultation and advice to client groups and project leadership on the delivery of the project ensuring the project meets business needs and improves business operations. You manage the Service Integrator vendor from a project management and contract administration perspective.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Completion of 4 year university degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
Minimum of 5 years of related experience with specific experience in the relevant technical competency area and 2 years of experience managing IT design and deployment project teams, including large, complex, enterprise applications to support multiple clients and business operations with extensive integration requirements
KNOWLEDGE
- Deep knowledge of technical competency area and applicable software/related tools (SAP, Microsoft Office tools, Project Management tools), plus broad understanding of other related technology areas and tools
- Knowledge of and experience working with Agile methodologies, as well as traditional project management methodologies, tools and standards
- Experience utilizing DevOps methodologies and associated tools (Microsoft Project, Project Management tools)
- Experience building QA test strategies and using automated tools/techniques
- SDLC methodologies and best practices in systems design, development, testing, implementation and maintenance
- IT security principles and standards
- IT Service Management principles and standards
- Business process analysis and process improvement, data modelling and cost-benefit analysis techniques
- Understanding of business relationship management
- General knowledge of City programs/services, operations, business processes and technological environment
- Must be familiar with all applicable health and safety legislation, have knowledge of any potential or actual danger to health or safety in the work place, and have knowledge of appropriate actions to be taken in order to ensure the health and safety of staff in accordance with applicable legislation and City policies and procedures
