JOB SUMMARY
The Frontline Services Branch is responsible for supporting and maintaining City staff issued computers, printers, mobile devices and the entire Telecommunications infrastructure including end points.
Your responsibilities would include being lead and support of the enterprise Cisco voice infrastructure. This role demands deep expertise in Cisco UC ecosystems, including CUCM, Unity Connection, UCCX, IM&P, CER, and PSTN gateway integration. You will be responsible for architecting, deploying, and troubleshooting a highly available and geographically distributed UC environment.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Completion of 4 year university degree in electronics or computer science
Minimum of 7 years of experience in large PBX/VOIP system design and implementation, and coordinating modern telephone systems with call centre systems
KNOWLEDGE
- Thorough knowledge of telecommunications including PBX and VOIP networks
- Good working knowledge of data networks
- Thorough knowledge of call centre technology and business operating concepts
- Thorough knowledge of large corporate voice mail systems, speech recognition applications and session border controllers
- Thorough knowledge telco providers and the different services they offer
- Knowledge of applicable health and safety legislation, including the rights and duties of workers
