JOB SUMMARY

The Corporate Accommodations unit within the Facility Operations branch, oversees the efficient allocation of City workspaces and the development and maintenance of consistent space standards. The Corporate Accommodation unit also provides interior design and project management services to the corporation as they relate to employee accommodations. 

You are responsible for providing CAFM (Archibus) systems and AutoCAD business applications support to CREO staff and management by providing occupancy analysis and reports to support ongoing Accommodation planning and projects.  You design as-built drawings, update base plans and plan Proposals drawings, and maintain and distribute accommodation master building plans for staff use. You also troubleshoot technical issues, provide CAFM Database administration for the Unit, and act as the CAFM System administrator including assisting IT with conducting system configurations, system analysis and user training, as required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Completion of 2 year community college program in information technology, computer sciences, drafting or related field

Minimum of 3 years of experience working extensively with Autocad and CAFM (Archibus) related applications, including applications support experience 

Experience with or knowledge of City of Ottawa Corporate Accommodations processes and policies is an asset

Experience delivering and coordinating training, interpreting policy and procedures and managing projects is an asset

KNOWLEDGE

  • Computer applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)

  • Data collection techniques, data synthesis, validation and analysis methods and techniques
  • Performance measurement, benchmarking and best practices principles as well as outcome-based management techniques

  • CAD tools- such as layers, 3D presentation drawings, layout and construction drawings CAFM (Archibus) tools – such as creating polylines, reports, Smart client and Web-central

  • Knowledge of applicable health and safety legislation, including the rights and duties of workers
  • Knowledge of Oracle and/or SQL is an asset

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • Language Requirement: English oral, reading, writing       
  • Driver’s License Requirement:  A valid Ontario unrestricted G class driver’s license (or provincial equivalent) with no more than 6 demerit points accumulated
