JOB SUMMARY

You are responsible for leading the business functions associated with specific releases of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Renewal SAP S/4HANA Modernization initiative. You ensure alignment between business and technical goals through the implementation of specific ERP Modernization releases and are instrumental in driving the project to success.


You serve as the liaison between business partners and the project team to gather requirements, map business processes, drive process redesign, and lead key aspects of business functions’ change management, training, user testing, and post-go-live support. You work alongside the System Integrator to ensure a successful implementation. You also provide consultation and advice to client groups and project leadership on the delivery of the release ensuring it meets business requirements and improves operations.   


The finance portfolios include: Finance and Controlling, Funds Management, Asset Accounting & Financial Close, Project Systems and Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC), Sales and Distribution & Accounts Receivable, Treasury, Financial Reporting & Analytics. Other business functions portfolios include Real Estate Management, Supply and Procurement, Materials/Inventory & Warehouse Management, Plant Maintenance, Enterprise Asset Management and Learning and Development. Project Delivery items include Data Conversion, Sustainment Model, Testing (Strategy Methodology & Execution), and Process Optimization (Strategy Methodology & Execution).

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Completion of 4 year degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or related field

Minimum of 5 years of related experience in supporting operational, strategic and business operations, and in working on projects related to technology in operational environments or related initiatives. 

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENCES

The following certification(s) and/or license(s) is/are desirable:
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Technical or professional certification or licence specific to the project area, if required to perform the work

KNOWLEDGE

  • Knowledge of business area functions
  • Advanced knowledge of techniques, practices and tools used in the review, analysis, design and improvement of business processes 
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of the technology related to the design, implementation and operation and maintenance of an ERP and its integrations
  • Structure, accountabilities, jurisdictions and processes of government, including inter-governmental stakeholders (municipal, provincial and federal governments) to provide strategic advice to client Branch(es)' management team on the development and implementation of financial plans/budgets and to deliver these services to meet client operational requirements.  
  • Strong understanding of ERP (i.e., SAP) system lifecycles, including both project delivery and sustainment
  • Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall and Hybrid delivery models
  • Change management principles, techniques and practices
  • Principles and processes of project management
  • Working knowledge of Corporate Human Resource policies and the principles of supervision in a unionized environment
  • Knowledge of applicable health and safety legislation, including the rights and duties of workers
