The Chief Information Security Office is dedicated to safeguarding the City's digital future through proactive, strategic and evidence-based security practices. 

This new Office anticipates emerging threats, sets robust cybersecurity standards and manages digital risks. It also drives security education and culture change across the City, ensuring all business lines are aligned with a shared vision of digital safety. With a focus on partnership and reliable service delivery, the Chief Information Security Office aims to build a security-conscious community and to protect the City's digital landscape for years to come. 

The Office focuses on four key areas: 

  • Strategic Enablement & Emerging Security: Forecasts future threats and shapes security strategy for all City operations. 
  • Cybersecurity Policy & Implementation Oversight: Develops and enforces cybersecurity policies and standards. 
  • Digital Risk Management & Advisory: Assesses digital risks and advises on risk management practices to guide security improvements. 
  • Governance, Culture & Awareness: Leads cybersecurity culture transformation.
