Welcome to the City of Ottawa's Recreation, Cultural and Facility Services (RCFS) job opportunities. We offer a wide range of job opportunities to support community programs and activities such as swimming, skating, performing and visual arts, fitness, sports, after school programs and summer camps.

Recreation, Cultural and Facility Services runs two hiring campaigns throughout the year:

  • The Fall, Winter and Spring Hiring Campaign is open for a 12 month period beginning in May.
  • The Summer Campaign opens each year in February and closes at the end of the summer season. This campaign is used to staff summer job opportunities only.

Police Records Check:

All Recreation, Cultural and Facility Services employees are required to provide a current Police Record Check (PRC) as a condition of employment to work with the ‘vulnerable sector'.

Successful applicants will be instructed to accept their offer letter online, in addition to, completing mandatory hiring documentation in a timely manner.

Documents required prior to being hired:

  • Proof of age
  • Proof of Certifications and/or Credentials (if required for the job, refer to the job posting)
  • Current Police Record (PRC) or Criminal Reference Check (CRC) (if required for the job, refer to the job posting).

  • Social Insurance Number
  • Banking Information (Void cheque or a bank validated deposit form).  The bank account must be in your name.
